How to Track Fuel Cost and Mileage (km/L) With SpendFlow
Updated · 4 min read
Fuel is one of the biggest regular costs for anyone who drives. SpendFlow has a Vehicle section that records fill-ups, works out your mileage, and keeps the cost in your normal budget.
Set up once
- Open Vehicle and choose the fuel category and the account you usually pay from, so fuel spending lands in your normal reports.
- Set the current fuel price per liter and the date it applies from. Update it when the price changes.
Log each fill-up
Tap Log fuel, then enter the odometer reading in kilometers, the cost you paid and the date. Mark whether you filled to full or only partially.
Tip: Mileage is measured between full tanks. Always fill to full when you can, and record partial fills honestly instead of skipping them.
Read your mileage
After you log a full tank twice, the mileage history shows your first number. Each entry lists the distance driven, the fuel used and the resulting km/L, so you can see whether city driving, a trip or a tire change moved the figure.
Why it helps
- Spot a sudden drop in km/L early, which can point to tire pressure or a service issue.
- See what driving really costs per month next to rent and food.
- Compare stations or fuel types by cost per kilometer instead of price per liter.
