Move Your SpendFlow Android Data to the Web App (CSV Import)
Updated · 4 min read
If you used the SpendFlow Android app, you can bring your history into the web app so you do not start from zero. The import reads CSV files exported from the Android app.
Step by step
- Export your data as CSV from the Android app.
- In the web app, open Settings → Data → Import.
- Drop one or more CSV files in, or tap to browse. Only .csv files are accepted.
- Check the preview, then confirm.
What the preview tells you
- Total, valid and error rows, with the reason for each error such as an invalid date or amount.
- Duplicates, which are skipped automatically so you do not double-count.
- New accounts and categories that will be created.
- The date range and the total income and expense in the file.
Amounts are imported in your current currency. Change the currency before importing if the file used a different one.
Changed your mind?
After the import you see how many rows were imported and skipped, and you can undo the whole import with one tap.
Tip: Very large files hit a row limit. If you see that message, split the CSV into smaller files and import them one after another.
